1. Promote seed germination
Aspartic acid is one of the richest amino acid protein’s building block in seeds. Under the action of aspartic acid transaminase, oxaloacetic acid is generated, which reacts with other substances in multiple steps to generate high-energy compound adenosine triphosphate (ATP), providing energy for seed germination, and then promoting seed germination.
2. Improve stress resistance
Crops are more inclined to convert surplus nitrogen of inner cells into aspartic acid under adverse circumstances , However, aspartic acid is involved in many plant physiological activities, such as functional reaction - tricarboxylic acid cycle which provides substrate, and participates in intracellular signal transduction etc. Thus it attaches a great importance to maintain plant physiology and to improve stress resistance .
