Amino acid liquid foliar fertilizer is used for different types of plants and has different application rates for each.
For orchards and vines, 2-4 litres should be applied pre-flowering until fruit development, 3-6 applications.
For vegetables, 2-5 litres should be applied early in the growing cycle for rapid starter and 4-6 applications at 10-14 day intervals until fruit set.
For hydroponics, 2ml of liquid fertilizer should be applied per litre of water in the growing period.
For fertigation, 3-5 litres should be applied, 3-6 applications in the growing crop cycle. For stress recovery, 2-5 litres should be applied every 7 days on crops su ering from environmental stress.
For broadacre, 1-2 litres should be applied with 2 applications at tillering and flag leaf.
For home gardeners, the application rate is 30-40ml per 10 litres of water and to be applied as required.
Amino acid powder foliar fertilizer is also widely used for many plants.
For field crops, broccoli, beans, corn, cauliflower, cotton, grains, tomatoes, etc., 1 to 3 pounds should be applied per acre when sowing the seeds or with seed transplants. 1 to 2 pounds should be applied again every week till harvest when the plants reach 5-7 inch stage.
For apples, citrus, grapes, peaches, pears, and nuts, young trees should be applied with 2-4 pounds of amino acid powder per acre every 4 weeks during growing season, and 2 pounds with every spray cycle for mature trees.
For berries, fruits, nuts, and vegetables, 2% solution should be applied with transplants at planting and 2.5 to 5 pounds of amino acid powder per acre monthly during growing season through drip, flood, or furrow. 1 to 2 pounds should also be applied with 50/100 gallons of water every 10 to 14 days during the growing season.
The irrigation rate should be based on the size of trees, vines, or vegetable crops. Amino acid powder has a pH of 6 to 7 and is generally compatible when applied with most micronutrients and pesticides. It is recommended to do a jar test to ensure mixing compatibility.
